8 facts from Lilith Fenton

At long last I finished this. I'm very excited to be presenting some facts on the littlest Fenton of my trio of DxS kids Lilith Fenton. She has been tagged by . (So sorry it took so long I've been really busy) Like her sister I may or may not get past the prologue for her so it was easier to post some special facts about this sweet freckle-faced redhead. I realize Lilith’s name is common but hopefully little Lily Ann has enough unique qualities to be recognized as her own person. I will never change her name.

1. Lilith doesn’t learn for many years that a flour sack was the first thing with her name. Not until a class reunion where her parents and the Foleys are looking over class pictures and Tucker remarks about Tucker Jr. and Sam promptly calls the flour sack Lilith. They then have a debate on who is correct and during which Lilith slowly realizes where her name came from. The whole situation creeps her out at first. Until Sam explains to her daughter that she always wanted to name one of her girls Lilith because it was one of her favorite names. Sam decided against naming Jennifer this name because the goth girl had grownup and felt it wasn’t necessary. However during Lilith’s birth there was a high chance both her and her mother would die so Sam finally decided to go with her favorite name because Lilith was their miracle baby. Lilith finds herself accepting this answer and slightly touched by her mother’s reason. Still every time she sees a flour sack there is a slight twitch in her eye as response to the memory. 

I personally chose the name because parents often name their kids after a name they enjoy and Sam obviously liked Lilith’s name so I felt that one of her kids should have it. There are many Lilith Fenton’s out there but I’m pretty sure this is one of the only redheads which is one of the things that I hope makes her unique. I also picked the middle name Ann so she had a connection to D’ann’y. Which is why her dad often called her Lily Ann

2. Lilith being born from a C-Section is actually based upon the fact that I almost died at birth from nearly the same situation. My mom has admitted it’s a miracle I’m alive today so the topic has always been personal to me. Lilith’s birth was a bit more extreme since she nearly crossed over into the Ghost Zone and half of her soul resided there for 14 years. I sort of used my birth with consideration on what could happen to a child of a half ghost. Logically to me a child with unstable ghost DNA would probably be drawn towards the Zone rather than surviving entirely in the human realm.

3. Lilith tends to screw up almost every time she first attempts to fight ghosts. Most often because her weaker powers and her tendency be oblivious to danger. In fact sometimes she gets so much in the way she’s more of problem than a help. Yet she never gives up and bounces back after her first attempt and most often succeeds. Her family has had to learn to work around her mistakes and they never try to dissuade her from helping. When Lilith sets her mind to something they know there is no chance of changing it.

4. Lilith is sort of an animal whisperer she can easily understand and communicate with them. She loves animals so much and has respect for each she meets. She always gives them a name or tries to learn their names. She treats animals at a slightly higher level than people and coos over each one. The animals acknowledge her as a friend and sometimes she becomes really close to them. This is one of the many reasons why Shadow could never bring himself to despise her despite being abandoned and left for dead in his past life. Lilith is also friends with most ghost animals and is often the only one who can bring peace to an otherwise dangerous situation. Once she met Vlad’s ghost vultures and easily became friends with them despite their grudge towards her father. Lilith even tried to adopt Cujo once but the little pup rambunctious nature and dangerous attitude towards everyone but the Fenton Family quickly changed her parents mind about letting her keep him as a pet. He still is sort of an honorary member of the family often spending time with them and Lilith loves to play with him. Despite Shadow's tendency to get jealous of Cujo. 

5. Growing up Lilith was always weaker than most kids and had poor health which caused her to be susceptible to sickness easier than her siblings. It was a cause of concern for her parents. However Danny refused to take Lilith to a regular hospital after having so many issues with Adrian’s old doctor. He was certain they’d blame his ghost half on her health and preform many experiments on Lilith’s DNA behind his back. To keep her out of the hospital Lilith’s health was managed by their trusted friend Doctor Kwan Li an honorary member of G.P.A. headquarters. All of the G.P.A. members receive first-rate healthcare from him. Kwan was very kind to Lilith and helped her become even more optimistic than in the past. He inspired her to never let her problems keep her down, to keep smiling, and always strive to turn problems into success. 

Among Lilith’s strange symptoms was her tendency to fall asleep at random times of a day. The strange quality of this symptom was it never lead to any of the side effects usually associated with oversleeping such as depression or lack of intelligence. The main concern was that in these incidences often nothing could wake her up. The real reason for her weak health is because half of her soul was trapped in the Ghost Zone. And at times the weighted pressure of this imbalance caused her body to fall to sleep and the mortal half of her soul to transfer itself into her ghost half. This is why she had random visions of the Ghost Zone so often. Once Lilith is whole again she starts getting healthier but due to the separation of her two halves it made her a weaker part ghost since her doremant powers never had the chance to mature. 

6. When Lilith became a teenager she started calling Frostbite 'Grunkle Frostbite’ sometimes because unlike her siblings she called him Uncle in both her forms while growing up. When half her soul wandered the Ghost Zone she appeared to other ghosts as a sleepwalking child. It was on one of the occasions when she was awake that Frostbite stumbled on her. He was immediately intrigued by her eyes which shared a striking similarity Danny’s when he used his ice powers. He saw this connection as a sign that the child was important and after questioning others he found out she was an orphan. So he took it upon himself to adopt her into the Yeti family. When they first met she thought it was a dream and called him what she usually did Uncle Frostbite. Despite being ignorant of her being Lilith Fenton he decided to keep the title and called her his niece.  Lilith’s ghost half spent a great deal of childhood in the care of Frostbite though she tended to wander off when sleepwalking which caused him and his yetis to constantly look for her. Since Lilith never felt the need to tell him her name he called her Eis (which translates to Ice in german) because of her eyes or the endearing nickname of Little Spirit because her small size. Later Lilith would come to call herself Lil’ Spirit because of the nickname. She continues to have the closest friendship with Uncle Frostbite out of all of the Fenton siblings.

7. Lilith’s sleeping habits often lead to the need to cuddle anything near her. Whenever she fell asleep she was instantly drawn to grab the first living creature in her range and cuddle them. She often ended up cuddling her brother Adrian, her parents, and on many occasions her sister Jennifer. Though Jenn always tried to force her way out of Lilith’s clinging grip. Yet Jenn never succeeded because when Lilith is fast asleep she tends to have a death grip on the person she cuddles. Even after she becomes rebonded to her ghost half Lilith still has a habit of falling asleep and cuddling up whoever is within range. Shadow/Watch Eyes is Lilith’s constant cuddle buddy and the cat has no problem scolding Lilith when she wakes up but then her cuteness quickly makes him melt and apologize for getting upset at her. Sometimes Gerard also becomes the victim of her cuddles and he ends up blushing and secretly doesn’t often mind it since he has a  crush on her. Though Lilith always wakes up really flustered when she realizes she is cuddling Gerard and stammers afterward. Jazz and Kwan both think her need to cuddle stems from an insecurity when she is asleep but her parents just think Lilith enjoys having the company of someone she cares about.

8. Given the fact that Lilith is oblivious to things that can hurt her she gets into many dangerous situations. The most common dangers her family and friends had to rescue her from was severe storms such as a hurricanes, typhoons or tornados. She doesn’t fear them and often felt drawn to the unstable windy weather which was frequently caused by Vortex. Her family learns she has urge to get caught up in these storms because of her elemental power over air. She is naturally drawn to windstorms and can easily navigate through them because of this connection. Vortex himself always gets frustrated when he finds Lilith in the middle of these storms because it’s unnatural for a human even a part ghost to enjoy his dangerous weather. It’s also an insult on his ego. He becomes even more jealous, frustrated, and upset when she starts to change the patterns of his wind. As a member of Team Phantom her family relies on her to take the rare position of lead when combatting Vortex’s storms or any ghosts with a connection to weather. 

Hope this was worth the wait and you learned something new about Lilith Fenton. This was pretty long list but that was only because I was so late in posting this and I got really inspired on Lilith’s facts.

8 facts from Flick

Someone outside of my Fenton Siblings has been tagged and it’s Flick the lovable dorky love interest of Jennifer. He was tagged by two people nonetheless I guess he’s pretty popular. Thanks so much to and for tagging him! I’ll admit this was a lot of fun to write.

1. Flick has a tendency to do Jazz Hands when he is nervous or excited. When he had his first conversation Jennifer he was overwhelmed by her attractiveness and started waving his palms in the air around her. She thought he was mocking her and that doesn’t give them the best start. When they get older Jennifer can’t help but bursting out laughing and finding it cute. 

2. Apart from collecting human things Flick has become a sort of amateur archeologist in the Ghost Zone. He likes to explore every corner of the Ghost Zone for uncharted locations. He wants to become as good as Sojurn at mapping out the many locations. (see Butch Hartman's Youtube on the Ghost Zone Secrets to learn more if you are confused) But Flick is torn between his expedition and his affections for Jennifer. He doesn’t want to leave her unprotected and alone especially after she gains her ghost powers.

3. Flick used to wear more tribal like outfits based on his Polynesian and Cherokee heritage from his parents and his home in the Wild Realm. He never traveled outside of the Wild Realm until he started following his brother Butch and his Ghost Punks crew around the Zone. It was only after he met Jennifer though he became really attached to the latest trends of clothes as he ventured out and discovered more about the wonders of the human realm. He also chose to switch up his wardrobe in an effort to fit in with Jennifer’s world.

4. Flick’s charmspeak power is connected his mother Kaya/Rainspeaker’s power. His mother can communicate with the weather to learn the forecasts or manipulate it. Vortex dislikes this a lot. (Flick’s family are forever considered rivals of Vortex although Kaya doesn’t really care about.) So Flick’s power to manipulate and persuade mortal is connected to his mother’s own power.

5. Flick has the potential to become a dangerous villain but his gentle personality and love for Jennifer Fenton curbed this threatening side dramatically. He is one of the Fenton Siblings greatest allies and friends. Sometimes he can become a threatening force when Jennifer gets hurt by someone emotionally or physically. These are the moments when people see just how scary he can be. He becomes a beast with a sole focus on destroying Jennifer’s enemy. Although she most of the time can snap him out of it so others don’t often experience his fury first hand.

6. Despite having the potential to be powerful Flick is actually not able to control his powers except when he is angry or overly emotional. He has little control over his natural abilities or his special ones. He tends to use either usually at the wrong moment which is why his brother Butch sees him as a big disappointment. 

7. Flick is a gifted dancer just name the type of dance and he can do it. The truth is when Jennifer was preparing for prom he wanted desperately to share a dance with her and worked hard to master every type of dancing he could. Turned out he was a gifted natural at dancing as he was able to flow easily with the music and interpret any steps he didn’t know. Jennifer doesn’t want to admit it but he impressed her with the waltz, salsa, square dance and ballet moves he used throughout various songs they danced it was nothing short of impressive.

8. Flick gets along with nearly everyone in Jennifer’s family. Adrian and him play video games together, sometimes read comics and discuss the unreached sections of the Ghost Zone. Next to Hugo he’s become one of Adrian's few guy friends. Due to Lilith's connection with the Zone she enjoys hearing about it from him or visiting his home. He also has respect for animals and has made friends with Shadow so she likes him a lot. Shadow/Watch Eyes actually knew Flick in the past when he's helped him out in the Wild Realm so it’s basically a reunion for them. Danny doesn’t entirely get along with Flick mainly because he knows that Flick has a not so secret crush on his daughter and he feels the need to protect her. He does tolerate Flick more than other boys who Jennifer's dated mainly because of his past friendship with the boy's father Mao. Sam thinks he’s alright and impressed by how respectful he is when he talks to her. The truth is he’s a little nervous around Sam because she can easily intimidate him. Flick also offers his services whenever possible to the G.P.A. and Team Phantom which is always appreciated. In fact in the future he becomes a member.

And there we have it 10 facts on Flick. I hope the wait was worth it. I’ve been rather busy this week. But I finally got around to finishing it. 

Next up is Lilith I will try to get the facts on her up soon.

1. Jennifer was named after my best friend from my childhood. Some of her personality traits derive from my friend too. When we were in girl scouts together there were a few Jennifers so she went by the name Jen. While normally everyone called her Jenny. Which is why Jennifer goes by Jenn. Sadly my buddy died in a car accident a while back. So Jennifer is one of many ways I honor her legacy. She was an amazing person. She was also called Jennifer because I wanted a character that had a name that worked both like Sam (Jen) and Danny (Jenny). 

2. In the story Jennifer was named by Danny. He chose the name in honor of his sister Jazz and the fact it could become Jenny. Sam liked the name and agreed with the choice although she was the one who first called her Jenn.

3. Jennifer is secretly ambidextrous. She’s both left and right handed. It’s a trait she tries not to use too often. She mostly writes with her right hand to avoid people knowing she can use both. She doesn’t wish to have another mark of weirdness tacked on her. Both her siblings and her family know she can do it though. If she’s in a hurry or not paying attention she’ll use her left hand without noticing then freak out and try to cover up her mistake. Her sister and brother find her over concern for her image stupid.

4. Jennifer’s earth powers cause her a ton of problems. Including the fact that Undergrowth named himself her grandfather (something that both Sam and Jenn object strongly to). She resents her earth powers at first because unlike her mother she isn’t really that fond of nature. This leads to Undergrowth constantly trying to indoctrinate her into loving plants. He sees her as his only hope to continue his legacy. Eventually, Jennifer does start to like plants as her powers over them mature but she never becomes deeply involved in the plant world despite both Undergrowth and her mother’s insistence.

5. Jennifer has a secret childhood friendship with Poindexter. When she was younger and shy she was bullied a lot by some of the other kids on the playground. Poindexter came to her rescue and they became good friends. He was one of the only people/ghosts she played with for a while outside her family until she met Chloe. Now she tries her hardest to keep others from knowing they are friends in order to keep her status as an A-Lister. Truthfully though he’s half the reason she became so dedicated to changing the A-Lists' outlook on other students.

6. Jennifer loves star gazing with her father. Ever since Clockwork gave her the moon pendant she’s become really invested in learning about the stars and solar system. This is why she decided to call herself Jenny Beam after the ray of light the moonlight makes in the sky.

7. Clockwork actually gave Jennifer a moon shaped pendant as a totem to symbolize future encouragement to grow and thrive. The symbol has a lot of connection with her creative abilities as well. Those who wear the symbol protect and create. The pendant was also to help teach her balance. She discovers this by the end of her first year as a part ghost. 

8. Who went through the most design changes of my OCs? Easily Jennifer. Especially her ghost suit and hair. I settled for this look because I like the contrast. Her eyes ironically are nearly the same color as her mother. This was on purpose both she and Lilith are slightly weaker part ghosts than Adrian. So I wanted the girls to have eyes in their ghost form similar to Sam-Jenny and Danny-Lilith. The moon pendant has been a staple in her design since I first created her. I chose it for both its symbolism and the fact it was my sister’s favorite shape and a portion of Jennifer is based on her.

There you go eight new facts about Jennifer Fenton. She has a little more facts because most of Adrian’s will be spoilers. I’m still not sure if I’ll get past prologue for Jenn. So I can easily tell you some of my facts I’ve developed for her. I’ll probably need to draw these in the future.

My DxS spawn melancholy bundle of deep thoughts Adrian Fenton got tagged by . I’ll try to post some facts that don’t spoil the story too much and haven’t appeared in my story yet for Adrian.

1. Adrian starts to wear glasses in his human form after he turns sixteen because his eyesight begins to weaken thanks to his part ghost genetics. By age 16 he can see perfectly as a ghost but as a human he has to wear glasses. Basically, his ghost half relies on seeing in the dark and various things he can’t do as a human. Eventually his slightly unstable ghost genes dominate his eyesight and his human eyes weaken from over exposure. 

2. Adrian aspires to become bilingual and has tried in the past to learn Hugo’s native language. He sometimes listens to various digital recorded lessons on foreign languages so he can learn them. He’s actually fairly good at speaking Esperanto since he wanted to be able to communicate with Wulf whenever he comes to visit.

3. Adrian dislikes history unless it deals with mythology. He finds myths fascinating and believes that all legends are based on some kind of truth. He used to believe there was a hidden island of dinosaurs and zombies would come to eat his brains some day. His imagination was pretty active as a kid. Now he just finds fantastical things to have some element of truth or connection to the Ghost Zone. After all, his father Danny once told him Pandora and all the greek myths live there.

4. Adrian has only one ghost enemy of his father’s that he gets along with and that’s The Ghost Writer. The ghost once kidnapped Adrian at age nine in order to obtain Danny’s help and a bit of revenge for getting him locked up in Walker’s prison. Adrian discovered his book collection in the hideout and impressed GW with his love of literature. The two bonded over it and The Ghost Writer forgot about his whole scheme and surrendered to Phantom without trouble. Eventually when the boy became really interested in writing poetry Ghost Writer took Adrian under his wing as a sort of mentor.

5. When he was little Adrian made an effort to get his Dad to hang out with him. He’d even pull pranks on his fans in order to scare them away. Of course, Danny was too concerned with his mission to keep his family and town safe so he didn’t notice his son’s effort nor did he ever figure out why his fans kept showing up covered in raw eggs, ectoplasm, tofu and other random things. Adrian stopped doing this later on this since his efforts were futile.

6. Adrian’s favorite poet is Robert Browning. He particularly likes the poems My Last Duchess and Soliloquy of the Spanish Cloister. He enjoys how deep or humorous the poems can be and the way he writes about the psyche of the characters. 

7. Adrian’s favorite writer is easily William Shakespeare. He admires the way the words flow in his story and the attention he puts into his characters. His favorite play would probably be Othello. Since he loves the contrast of characters and finds the villain intriguing. 

8. Adrian went through five ghost suit designs until I found one that fit. I still am considering a little bit of changes to the current one but for the most part this was the end result. One of his older designs had black pants and a white shirt. His emblem on the shirt started out too much like Danny’s so I sketched out many designs until I stumbled on the idea of sort of a slightly cursive A that had ghost tail at the end. This fits his poet nature so it stuck.

Well that’s it for now. I hope you learned something new about Adrian. Most of these facts will eventually happen in the story but they aren’t really spoilers so I thought I’d share them. I’m planning to draw Adrian with glasses soon. I owe the inspiration for the glasses to Torosiken-II and Spectral-Ninja who have drawn him with glasses in the past.
